Addresses
An address is where coins and assets are sent. X Coin addresses start with X. The address page shows the XFER balance, assets held, and lottery wins.
Step by step
1. Paste an X… address into the explorer search, or open it from a transaction output.
2. Read the XFER balance and the list of assets. A token balance is that asset, not XFER.
3. Lottery wins for that address are listed with the blocks that paid them.
4. People can also send to an @handle after that person claims a name. The handle page is an identity, not a second coin. Identities.
5. The wallet's Receive screen shows your current address and a QR code. A new address is only made after the current one has received something.
Example
Example: Two outputs, one person
Example: your wallet shows address A on Receive. A friend sends 1 XFER to A. The address page for A shows that output. If you tap New address later, address B is empty until someone pays it. The wallet keeps an eye on the newest 100 addresses, your first address, and any older one that still holds coins or tokens.
Common mistakes
Sending to a burn address. Those addresses cannot spend. Check the fees page before you paste one.
Judging a person by one address. A wallet uses many addresses from the same 12 words.
Expecting the explorer to move coins. It only displays them.
