Launch
Listing types
Launch listings are Tokens, NFTs, or real-world assets. The file stores the type as token, nft, or rwa. A name with # is an NFT. Other names start as tokens unless the file says otherwise.
Step by step
1. Open Launch and accept the terms.
2. Create / List Unsigned makes a new token under the platform root. The name is LAUNCH_XFER/YOURNAME. It costs 100 XFER, which is burned. You do not hold LAUNCH_XFER!. A new create on this path is not reissuable.
3. Create / List Signed (X Account) lists a token under your X handle, or one this wallet already holds. A child is YOURNAME/PROJECT. A unique is YOURNAME#ITEM. That path costs 10 XFER. Bring the whole supply into this wallet first.
4. Set a starting price. The lowest price is 0.0000001 XFER per token. A fair book can list from 1 to 1B tokens.
5. Sign in your wallet. The site does not hold the 12 words.
6. Tabs on the market are All, Tokens, NFTs, and Real-world assets. Rules for names: Assets 101.
Example
Example: Two ways to list (the fees are the real fees)
Example names: LAUNCH_XFER/SUNNY is an unsigned create. The vault pays 100 XFER to the sub-asset burn address. YOURNAME/SUNNY is a signed list of a token you already created. The vault pays 10 XFER. YOURNAME#POSTER is a unique. Making that unique burned 5 XFER when it was created; listing it is the 10 XFER fee if it is already issued.
Common mistakes
Mixing up the 100 XFER create burn and the 10 XFER listing fee. Create burns coins. Listing an asset you already hold pays the smaller fee.
Leaving reissuable on for a token you will list, then being surprised that buyers must tick a warning. The warning says the creator can mint more, which can increase supply.
Listing a unique as if it had a long curve. The first sale pays the listing price to the lister. After that the curve closes and it trades on the order book.
Searching the wrong tab. A name with # shows under NFTs. A real-world asset shows under that tab when the file says rwa.
FAQ
- What is the reissuable warning?
- Reissuable: the creator can mint more of this asset at any time. That can increase supply and lower the value of what you hold.
- Does Launch let me mint more of a new unsigned token?
- No. A new Launch create is not reissuable. Listing an asset this wallet already issued can still be reissuable, and buyers see the warning before a buy.
- Where are the longer steps?
- List it for sale and List a token on Launch.
