Order book and triggers
The order book is resting buys and sells next to the curve. A chart trigger is different: it waits in this browser and is not on the book until it fires.
Step by step
1. Post a buy below the curve price or a sell above it. The smallest order is 1 XFER. You can have up to 5 open orders on each side.
2. Best price fills first. At the same price, the oldest order fills first. A buy takes cheaper resting sells first, then the curve. A sell does the reverse.
3. The XFER or tokens for a resting order are held until it fills or you cancel. Cancel any time from 2 minutes after you place it. The held amount comes back.
4. Tick "cancel anything left" to trade only what fills now. Anything left is cancelled, not left on the book.
5. A chart trigger: unlock the wallet, click a price on the chart, tap +, and set the amount. It runs a normal buy or sell when the price reaches it. Locking the wallet or closing the tab cancels it. It is not on the chain until it fires.
6. A buy trigger that would break the 15% cap is refused when you place it. More: Buy and sell.
Example
Example: One resting sell (example)
Example: the curve price is 2 XFER. You rest a sell of tokens at 3 XFER. It waits. Someone else's buy takes cheaper sells first, then the curve, and reaches your 3 XFER order only if the price gets there. If you cancel 2 minutes after placing it, the tokens come back to the vault. A chart trigger at 3 XFER is not this order. It lives in the tab, and locking the wallet drops it.
Common mistakes
Canceling in the first 2 minutes. The book refuses that.
Opening a sixth order on the same side. The cap is 5.
Leaving a chart trigger overnight with the wallet locked. Locking cancels it.
Expecting a leftover under 1 XFER to stay open. A remainder under 1 XFER closes the order and the rest is refunded.
FAQ
- Who pays fees on a book trade?
- On a fair book the buyer pays the 0.60% platform fee and the 0.30% creator fee on top. The holder who sells receives the price.
- Is a trigger an order on the chain?
- No. It becomes a normal trade only when it fires from this unlocked wallet.
- What is the smallest fill?
- The smallest single fill is 0.01 XFER, so a payout stays above dust. The smallest order you can post is 1 XFER.
