Creator fees

On a fair listing, each buy and sell sets aside 0.30% (30 bps), the creator's part of the 0.90%, for the person who listed it. That fee is paid into the listing's claim amount in the same signed transaction. The creator claims it from the listing. It is kept out of the trading reserve, so sells can still be paid.

Step by step

  1. 1. List an asset. You are the creator for that listing.

  2. 2. A fair trade pays 0.90% in total: 0.60% platform and 0.30% creator. Of the 0.60% platform fee, 0.20% goes to the listing's pool when it has stakers. If the pool has no stakers, the platform keeps the 0.20%. The creator keeps 0.30%. The trading fee share has been live since Oct 18, 2026 at 6:33 PM ET. Trades before that are not paid back into pools. Trades on a fair curve take both fees off the buy before the curve, and out of a sell's curve payout. Book trades: the buyer pays both on top, and the holder who sells receives the price.

  3. 3. Open your listing. The fee line shows how much creator fee has accrued. Claim creator fee pays you and does not spend the reserve.

  4. 4. The first sale of a unique pays the listing price to you, plus the platform fee from the buyer. There is no separate creator fee on that first sale. Later book trades use the usual fees.

  5. 5. Listings made before this fee existed may not charge it. The live platform rate is shown when someone signs.

Example

Example: 1,000 XFER fair buy (example amounts)

Example amounts: someone buys with 1,000 XFER on your fair listing. Platform fee 60 bps is 6 XFER. Creator fee 30 bps is 3 XFER. 991 XFER goes to the curve and stays in the reserve to pay later sells. The 3 XFER accrues for you. Claim creator fee sends you that 3 XFER. It does not take the 991 from the reserve.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting the reserve to be yours to withdraw. The reserve stays so sells can be paid for the life of the listing.

  • Looking for an automatic send. The fee accrues until you claim it from the listing.

  • Adding a creator fee on top of a unique's first sale. The lister already receives the listing price.

FAQ

Who can press Claim creator fee?
The lister, from that listing, when the accrued fee is above zero.
Is this the same as a pool reward?
No. The creator fee is claimed from the listing. Pool rewards are separate: 0.20% of each trade while that pool has stakers, plus anything the creator adds. Pools.
What if the claim fails?
The wallet can say the creator fee was not claimed. The accrued amount stays for another try. It is not spent as a trade.
