Every term on this site, in one line each.

Terms A to Z

12 words: Your wallet backup, also called a seed phrase. Anyone with them controls the wallet.
Active: A node that sent a heartbeat in the last 180 seconds and is in the draw.
Address: Where coins and assets are sent. X Coin addresses start with X.
Admin token: NAME!. Whoever holds it can make assets under NAME.
Asset: A named thing on the chain you can hold and send: a token, an NFT, or a record.
Block: A page of the ledger. About one per minute.
Bonding curve: The price formula behind each Launch listing. Buys push the price up, sells push it down.
Burn: XFER sent to an address nobody can spend from, as the cost of creating an asset.
Confirm: A payment is confirmed once it is in a block.
Creator fee: A share of each Launch trade set aside for the lister.
Escrow: Coins or tokens held while a book order rests, returned if you cancel.
Explorer: A read-only website that shows the chain.
Fill: A trade that went through, fully or partly.
Genesis: Block 0, the first block. It pays nothing.
Halving: Every 2,100,000 blocks the block reward halves and one more winner is added.
Hat: The set of active X Verified nodes in this minute's draw.
Heartbeat: A short signed message a node sends about every 30 seconds to stay active.
Heavy: The desktop app with the tree menu, Market and Rewards pages.
Height: A block's number, counting from 0.
IPFS: A file network that stores asset pictures and description files. The chain keeps the file id.
Light: The desktop app with a simple Home screen.
Mature: A lottery win becomes spendable after 100 blocks.
Mempool: Payments waiting to go into a block.
NFT: A unique asset, NAME#ITEM. There is exactly one.
Node: A program that keeps a full copy of the chain and checks every block.
Order book: Resting buy and sell orders at set prices on a Launch listing.
Platform fee: A share of each Launch trade paid to the platform.
Reissuable: Whether more of an asset can be made later.
Root name: Your main name, from your X handle. One free per X account.
RWA: Real-world asset. A token that stands for something off the chain.
Seed node: The node that signs blocks today. It is not in the draw.
Slot: The minute a height belongs to.
Sub-asset: A token under your name, NAME/PROJECT.
Units: Decimal places an asset can split into, 0 to 8.
Vault: The wallet stored in your browser, locked with your password.
X Verified: An X account with a blue check, or a business or government check.
XFER: The coin of X Coin.
Xferon: The smallest unit. 100,000,000 xferons make 1 XFER.
