Explorer APIs
The explorer publishes read-only JSON. You can open these URLs in a browser. They cannot spend coins. Hash pages such as #/block/1 are the human view. A path like /tx/… without the hash loads the home page.
Step by step
1. /api/supply lists ticker, height, issued_atoms, burned_atoms, circulating, circulating_atoms, total, total_atoms, max, max_atoms, fees_paid_atoms, locked_atoms, unspendable_atoms, atoms_per_xfer, and a burns array. Definitions in that object: total is subsidy issued through this height, minus burn-address balances and provably unspendable outputs. Circulating is total minus protocol-locked balances, and this chain defines none, so it matches total. Max is every coin the subsidy schedule will ever pay. Fees paid to the lottery winner stay in circulation. Locked says there is no premine, vesting, or chainparams treasury, and immature coinbase outputs stay in circulation.
2. Separate paths that exist: /api/supply/circulating, /api/supply/total, and /api/supply/max. Issued and burned are fields on /api/supply, not their own paths.
3. /api/handle/{handle}/hat-stats includes draws_all (lifetime hat entries), first_draw, and last_draw. A 404 means the explorer has never seen that handle: 0 draws. If the explorer does not answer, the count is unknown.
4. /api/stats?pulse=24 includes era, subsidy_atoms, height, and genesis_time. The referral program uses genesis_time to date the first hat block.
5. /api/address/{address} is one address. /api/tx/{txid} is one transaction. Human pages: block, address, asset, identity.
Example
Example: Turn atoms into XFER
Example numbers, not the live chain: issued_atoms of 100,000,000,000 is 1,000 XFER because atoms_per_xfer is 100,000,000. burned_atoms of 10,000,000,000 is 100 XFER. The burns array would list which addresses hold that 100. Live atoms are only on /api/supply.
Common mistakes
Calling /api/supply/issued or /api/supply/burned. Those paths are not found. Use the fields on /api/supply.
Dividing by 1,000 instead of 100,000,000. 1 XFER is 100M xferons.
Sending a transaction to an API URL. These routes only read.
Treating a 404 hat-stats body as a network failure. 404 means 0 draws. A timeout means unknown, which is not zero.
FAQ
- Does the API include a founder allocation?
- No. The locked definition says there is no premine, vesting, or chainparams treasury.
- Which supply numbers change?
- Issued, burned, total, and circulating change as blocks and burns happen. Max is the subsidy cap.
- Where is the human version?
- Explorer guide and Stats and supply cards.
