XFER is the coin of the X Coin chain. The smallest unit is a xferon. One XFER is 100,000,000 xferons.

There is no mining. A new block comes about once a minute, and each block pays a drawing among signed-in X Verified desktop nodes. See The chain and The lottery.

The chain also stores named assets: tokens, one-of-one NFTs, and records for real-world items. See Assets 101.

All three use the same 12-word backup format. The same words open the same addresses in each.

Web wallet (this site)

Runs in your browser. Send, receive, make tokens, and trade on Launch. The 12 words stay in this browser. It does not enter the lottery.

Light (desktop)

Simple Home screen with buttons. It is a full node. Keep it open and signed in to enter the lottery if your X account is X Verified.

Heavy (desktop)

Same chain as Light, with a tree menu and more pages, including Market and Rewards → Lottery share.

Get the desktop apps from the latest release on GitHub. Do not use GitHub's Code → Download ZIP. Windows and Linux are supported.

Once someone has signed in with X and claimed their name, you can type their @handle instead of a long address. The wallet looks up the address that holds their name token and checks it again right before sending.

A typed handle is not proof of who someone is. Only Sign in with X proves that.

Nobody can restore your wallet without the 12 words. Not this site, not support, not anyone.

Never type the 12 words into a chat, a form, or a site you do not trust. Support will never ask for them. Read Security.
